While ABA is known to be effective, it can also be expensive, especially when recommended intensively (20–40 hours per week). Fortunately, there are several ways to manage the cost.


Many families use health insurance to help pay for ABA services. In the United States, most states require insurance companies to cover autism therapies, including ABA. Be sure to check your provider’s autism coverage policy.
